Simplifying My Bedroom: After

November 10, 2008

Well, my room is clean (mostly!) As you will be able to tell from these pictures, I like things organized and in boxes! :) Here are the “after” pictures!!!

This is a shelf that holds the different things that I have made that are ready to be put in gift bags for new babies, birthdays, Christmas, etc.

The two pink bins hold books I am reading and library books. The magazine box holds my hand-me-down Real Simple magazines. :)

These are most all of my clothes (all seasons), other than a few pairs of pants, and some tanks and camis to go under my shirts. I have more simplifying to do!

p1060021The two green boxes that are on top of each other are from IKEA (we only live 5 minutes away from one! :) These boxes are $7.99 for two. In one I keep my camis and tanks. In the other, I keep all of my yarn. The round green basket thing, I bought at STORABLES on sale for $5. Yarn is in here.

So, now I get to enjoy our clean room.

Coming soon…..homemade gifts for Christmas.

    Mrs. Maurer,

Thank you so much for commenting!! Grace and I are really happy with the colors we have. The one brown wall makes our room seem so much warmer!

    See you tonight!

Transformational Thoughts for Your Spiritual Journey Holiness Day by Day: Transformational Thoughts for Your Spiritual Journey by Jerry Bridges

My review

I am currently reading this book during my devotions. It is so good! I like it because it reminds me of the gospel on every single page. I need to hear the gospel because I often fall into condemnation over my sin. I highly recommend this book. You will benefit from the wisdom that Mr. Bridges has!

Almost a year ago, my mom had a free night at a hotel in the area. My mom, sister, and I headed out for a night of monk episodes :) and we went through this book. It is a great book because it helped me to understand how much planning makes your day better! When I say better, I mean that when you have a plan of what you are doing, there is less opportunity to waste your day away. They also reminded me of how important it is to spend time in the Bible at the beginning of the day. I highly recommend this book!
